Steve is experienced in project structuring and fast growth businesses. Having undertaken executive studies in the area of fast growth businesses at Columbia University in New-York, and through his own enterprises, he has overseen and driven many different strategies for fast growth outcomes.

Entrepreneurship is a key area of interest for Steve. He has been involved in a number of start-up businesses and managed these businesses through to trade sale. His areas of expertise include property, information technology, biotechnology, and infrastructure. Along the way Steve has also been involved in a number of residential and retail property developments.

Levi WEISZ

Levi is experienced in business structuring for small and medium companies. He holds a Master of International and European Business Law (International Business Law), University Paris Ouest-Nanterre La Défense in France and a Master in International Taxation from the University of New South Wales.

Levi spent 2 years as an assistant general counsel of STARLIMS, a high-tech company listed on NASDAQ and based in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Before coming to Australia, Levi worked in the Tax and Corporate department of Squire Sanders, an international Law firm based in Paris, France.

SENIOR ADVISOR,
Bakos Szemere

Bakos has vast professional experience in advisory on the European tax and customs law, international taxation, business structuring, due diligence, transfer pricing.

Prior to joining Weisz-Offshore for a long period Bakos worked with one of the biggest UK audit and consulting companies, where he managed tax review projects (tax audits, due diligence), tax advisory for inbound investments and structuring business in Europe, outbound investments of Swiss and Luxembourg holdings, restructuring, development of tax methodology and procedures.

Bakos is a Master of Economics graduated from Oxford University (UK), and also participated in secondment study program at McGill University in Canada.

Nora Baresi

In the course of professional carrier, Nora has successfully completed several projects: M&A transactions, Investment projects Due Diligence, Legal structure modeling with utilization of international instruments, Client’s Court Protection in Tax Disputes
Nora has many years of experience in tax advising for Australian and foreign companies on the complex issues of US tax legislation, carrying out complex projects to identify and assess the tax risks.

Prior to joining Weisz-Offshore Nora has gain considerable experience in large consulting company, where she led the Tax Practice. Nora also worked for large Commercial holding, the structural units of which were involved in commercial, industrial and construction activities.

Nora has published articles on professional topics in leading journals. Carries workshops and seminars and participates as an expert in Start Up.

Nora holds a Bachelor degree in Law with honors and a Bachelor degree in Accounting and Auditing with honors.

Yong Ch’en

Yong ’s professional experience includes tax due diligence, transactions structuring and consulting in the fields of Australian and international taxation
Prior to joining our team Yong worked in the Tax department of a Startup where he was responsible for tax risk management, tax planning and tax methodology development for both Australian and foreign legal entities of the Startup.

In 2006-2008 Yong worked for Google in the Corporate structuring and international tax planning department.

Yong has an extensive experience in tax consulting including aspects of Australian and international taxation, obtained while working for one of the “Big four” companies.

Yong is a Master of Science graduated from Sydney University, he is also a certified translator in economics (English).
